Dropping By for an IV Drip
IV Drip, short for intravenous drip, is a medical procedure that administers fluids directly to the patient’s bloodstream. It is widely used by different personalities around the world–– from athletes, celebrities, influencers, to people who just want to cure a hangover–– for its immediate and noticeably effective results.
How does IV drip work?
Intravenous comes from two words: “Intra-” meaning inside and “venous” meaning veins. IV drip shoots the essential nutrients straight to the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract. Normally, the vitamins we intake go to our tummies where they are digested before they enter the bloodstream. Not only does this process take time, but it also reduces the amount of vitamins that our bodies are meant to absorb.
Meanwhile, vitamins and minerals infused via IV drip do not enter the digestive tract, allowing the body to absorb all of them at a faster rate.
